1,500 Gallon TANK BUST!!!

The security cameras at a US aquatic shop caught the moment that a huge aquarium burst, emptying around 1250 gal. of water all over the floor.

Iowa Pet Foods and Aquatics, in West Des Moines, were greeted by 5cm/2" of standing water after the fish tank collapsed last Thursday. Luckily there was no livestock in the aquarium at the time and no one was injured.

What do you think would of caused this?

imagine a store that had a huge fish tank below you?!?! and there were planks or bridges that you would walk on as fish were swimming below?

I did dance on a dancefloor in a club in South Beach that had this!

the floor was clear and below it was a massive pond, about 30' x 30' atleast!

Methinks it was employee error or occurred during initial filling. Watch the video again and look at the right side of the tank. An employee/person was near the back when it happened and can be seen running to the right....

A lfs near me had a huge used tank bust in their store, it was like 800g or so, slammed someone up against the wall when it broke with livestock in it! The store was open when it happened too!
That was just sheer stupidity though, they got a used tank that big and didn't reseal it

I have a friend that had a 350g talll tank pop on him, used tank also. He told me he heard the noise started walking downstairs all he saw was water everywhere fish flapping a rug 2' tall gravel over the door ways a huge mess. He had to pick up all the fish and throw them in to all his 55g tanks and these were no small fish i couldnt believe it, all I have to say is thank God for insurance.

looks to me like the tank has un even sealed beams to it when it was put together, and yep I do notice the employee.

why is it a tank can never fill as quick as that drained!

i had a spray bar come un suctiond from the side of the tank and spray water over the side of the tank onto the floor of the apartment. i came home to a half full 215 gallon tank, and some squishy carpet!!

That is crazy!
