| First two pieces of live rock... day after setup Another rock added...one week later Ocellaris....one week later (included in price of my setup since he breeds them!) Firefish added about two weeks later... Added a small 'bridge' across the top of the other rocks... Here is my coral banded shrimp...he is huge & sheds at least monthly... One last most recent pic of the two clowns over a zoanthind. Sorry I don't have the complete setup as it is now...It is so much more established and pretty and full of life but this gives a bit of the startup. |

| Filtration is a little Eheim 150 HOB with four cartridges in it. That is why I have so much live rock. This is the way my fish guy set me up and it works awesome. My only isue is some green algae. I am combatting it with weekly water changes of 4-7 gallon and growing macroalgaes (halimeda and an unnamed red algae that is awesome!). Thanks for the comments! I love feedback! |

| We had a lawn mower blenny. He is one of my fish that died. Probably because he didn't eat algae. We have determined that the algae I have growing is not a palatable sort. I had emerald crabs as well and they didn't eat it either. I returned them to the fish store when they ate almost all my halimeda! Some green algaes are just not tasty to fish & critters. Or other algae eating fishes grow too large for my tank. So I pull it out by hand and suction it up while taking out the water I am changing.
There are two sponges & two black cartridges. They are what came with the filter and I have NEVER changed them since October. I rinse them in dirty tank water with about every other weekly water change. |

| I have three different zoanthids , three mushrooms (one has had four babies!), green star polyps (my clowns love these) and yellow polyps. Nothing to extravagant but didn't want to kill myself with expensive corals if I can't keep them alive. I have about 7-8 halimeda plants growing. And I just traded in 6 for 3lbs of live rock :) and I have what my guy calls red razor algae that is very cool and growing very large.
I bought a corallife strip. I think it has actinic and a 10k in it. I can double check later tonight. |
