I'm not crazy for wanting another big tank right??

If all goes well I will be getting a nice 90 gal tank to replace my 55 gal. I'm going to sell the 55 gal. My family thinks I'm crazy they don't get why I need a bigger tank. The 55 gal I got because it was cheap but I always wanted a tank that was wider then 12" is that really so crazy. New tank will be 48x18x24 .

So I will have a 90 gal 100 gal and 36 gal. + an extra 20 gal that's empty now. I could move all fish to the 2 large tanks no problems and only keep 2 tank if I have to and I might have to if we move.

So getting a larger tank makes sence right? It's a good deal $150 obo I think they will go lower. I have a light for it and other stuff. The tank looks good. Better then what I have.

After selling a few random tanks I have I hope that will pay for the new tank. Fish forums are like my suport group because no one at home understands. I need some suport :) .

how is this a crazy idea. if you have the room get more tanks.

We all gonna get bigger tanks. Pending space requirements and available money. What most family don't understand is fish keeping. Is THEAPARY lol

The 90g is a very very nice tank, much better for fish than a 55g, those few inches of floor space make all the difference!
No your not nuts for wanting an upgrade.

If you may be moving, hang onto some of the tanks, you will need something for the fish to be in while you move the 2 big ones and get them set up. Its much easier to go set up the tanks and then move the fish and put them right into their tanks.

My family knows I am crazy. You got all the support you need here, I have been on my last tank for the last 8-9 tanks

I try and explane how the few inches helps a lot but my husband does not get it. Whatever Im getting the tank monday.

Go for it. I am like you I went from one 30 Gallon Tank to one 150 Gallon Tank, 1 37 Gallon, and 1 10 Gallon Tank in a span of a few months. I just upgraded from a 55 Gallon to the 150 two weeks ago. I think the fish are enjoying their new home

My thing is bigger is better. I don't like keeping more then 3 tanks running at once. I have 3 dogs and a 17 month old baby. Oh and I work sometimes. so I don't have time to clean a fish store maybe when my daughter can help me. That's my plan get her into fish keeping and then she will have her own tanks.

I'm going to get it gosh I hope they did not sell it on me I told them I would be there Monday.

Crazy would be not getting it.

Omg people drive me crazy. So when I talked to the lady she said the tank was 18" wide and about 24"deep and 4 feet. I call today talk to the husband who is not a fish guy the lady is. He said the tank is 13" wide and 18" deep but still 4 feet long. Ahhhh now I don't know what to do it's a 30 min drive away. Should I go down and see for my self? Grrrr why can't people just measure the tanks it's not hard to do.

the ladys size is a 90g and the guys size sounds like a 55g.........
You could always upgrade that 36g if it is a 55g......

Actually, his dimensions come out to a 50 gal. If it is only a 50, I would make them drop the price accordingly. You may want to call and ask them to physically measure the tank so you can be sure of what you are getting. 30 minutes is a long drive in a vehicle large enough to carry a 90 gallon tank. The fuel cost may be prohibitive for a 50.

If you don't have all the tank's you want and find one in your price range then I would say go for it.

Nope I called the guy again and he checked for me it is 48x13x18 not what I want so I'm going to keep looking. Thanks all you crazy fish nuts. I'm sure if I wait the right tank will come up. Spring cleaning time.

They are out there if you just keep looking! I got my 90g tank with stand and canopy for $75. Just haunt CL for a while and you will find the perfect tank at the right price!

I'm going to keep looking. I went to see the tank and rescued some uaru and a blockheads cichlid with hith they were is really bad shape they would have died. The tank was nice but I'm going to wait. Oh these poor fish.

Update I'm getting an 80 gal tank tomorrow.
