| First topic message reminder :My albino cories laying eggs on the side of the tank! This is in my 10gal tank that I was using for my rescued cories to fatten them up. All of them but the 3 albinos had been moved over to my 75gal about a week ago. during the 2 week QT time that I had all 10 in there I had been doing massive water changes 20%-50% and feeding shrimp pellets and frozen bloodworm's. still on the same feeding regiment. They had a decent sized water change 2-3 days ago about 30% 2 helpings of frozen bloodworms yesterday. I have pictures and 2 videos of it I will put them up later after their done. How long should I leave them in the tank? Do the males have to fertilize the eggs or is that done prior to laying? I will move them to my 20gal for the time being I guess. I know they will eat the eggs and thats all I know  I think these cories are about 4-5yrs old.

| I have no idea how its done Ya with the luck I'm having with them I may have to get a few more tanks just to raise the fry..... Especially if they keep it up! It seem they need; Plenty of hiding spots and live or frozen foods. Frozen blood worms live black worms, small tadpole and mosquito larvae. Staple diet of flakes and shrimp pellets and a small piece of algae disc every so often. Oh ya and some Cory love potion |

| Well I had the LFS run a full test on the water from my 75g and he said it was very good. A little hard though. |

| Cool, I think one of my tigers may be pregnant. Its the standard color tiger barb I only have 1 standard and 3 albinos so it should be interesting. I have no idea on the whole albino thing. I defiantly have 2 different types of albino corys though. 3 and 6 Just clueless on what type they actually are |

| So I have at least 2 female bronzes laying eggs in my 75gal now. If I had the tankage for them I would take the eggs out. But I don't...... So I guess the other fish get a treat.
I need to get a whole wall of 10's if my corys keep it up! |

| And another batch of eggs in my 20gal from my albinos..... And no where to put the eggs This is frustrating. Ok question. The corys seem to spawn for 2 days every 2 weeks give or take a day or two so a total of 2 batches each tank (2 tanks). One batch equals 100-200 eggs. I have at least 4-5 mature females. The fry I have now are barely big enough to move to my 55gal. How many 10gal tanks do I need to get to raise all of the fry they produce? I think I'm going to turn this into a 'side job' and start raising them up and selling them. |

| So I moved all of the fish from my 20gal into a 55gal while I redid the 20gal...... Guess what my corys did in a bear tank when they should have been hiding and scared? Nooooo They were laying more eggs! I think my corys get more than I do So I'm 'borrowing' my BF's 10gal tank he was cycling for a betta and I'm going to put eggs in there for the moment..... I think my corys are part rabbit! |

| Ok pictures I took today of the cory fry The orange is the brine shrimp in their belly's This one is not dead.... They just like to float belly up. Note the barbels That is a heater in the pic with them And a picture from the top, just for s&g's They are all swimming rather well at this point. They have started developing the usual cory traits, swimming around crazily, grazing on the bottom tail in the air. There are a few I will need to cull that are malformed though.
Don't overwhelm me with comments or anything....... |

| So I went and got a turkey baster to move them with. I couldn't find a gentler method That would work on them. I have been counting them as I move them by the cup full. I have moved so far 123 cory fry and I haven't made a dent in the density of the tank You cant even tell that I've taken any out! Oh and I'm culling them as I do the move. I can inspect them rather well in the baster tube. I've only had to cull 3 so far, They all had very crooked spines. But all in all that's not a bad ratio. |
