What cichlid is this?

I just picked up these fish from Lake Elsinore Ca. These people had electric yellows mixed with I don't know what. they also had some albino cichlids and blood parrots. I got a 6 inch pelco and 2 electric yellows and this other orange fish what is it?

I hear ya on that. There are a lot of fish you wonder why they are called that. I can't explain the names. I just follow the rules.

but they are usally orange and and dont have stripes

well convicts are also known as a zebra cichlid as a nickname but i never refer to them as that. i know a red zebra should look like a horse that is white with res stripes.. I have several red zebra and always heard complaints of aggression from the people or lfs when i got them. nO PROBLEMS WHAT SOEVER good luck and enjoy

it looks like a sunburst to me , i have about 20 of them in my african comm tank

Red Zebra. Although, it could be a hybrid of something if it was in a mixed African tank.

i if its from wal-mart, petco, petsmart. its about a 75% chance its a hybrid

looks like a female red zebra to me it actually looks like one of my females
