Pariaba Angelfish?????

Hi all you experts out there. Old school here wanting to know where did the name Pariaba come from, what it means and where did the first pariaba angelfish come from. Also whats the difference between pariaba and iridescent coloring.

not brazil. paraiba is turquoise/light blue brilliant gem stone to be exact. hence the blue shimmer on this particular angelfish

Of course they would not be from Brazil. They were originally from there until people start playing with Line breeding, to exploit mutation and color patterns.

Ken Kennedy has Paiba that definitely do not look like some what you described.
