I don't know much about Dwarf cichlids, but I'm looking to stock a single species and want a mini monster. So if anyone can give me a few ideas it would be helpful.

what size tank. the multis are easy and not as aggressive as some of the others.

you could do some osc gold or blacks but they do get really aggressive so you can nto stock as many as you could the multi. i have a breeding group in a 10 gallon which is 2m /7f and about 50 fry. i have a filter on this tank rated for a 55g - 75g tho lol.
