| So, I read online that swordtails can breed with platys. What about guppies? I have 2 female platys, 2 male guppies, and one male swordtail. I know my platys likely have stored sperm, but will the swordtail and/or guppies breed with them?
And why does one of the guppies seem to be trying to mate with my tetra? Does he just want a girlfriend? (Its not going to happen, just curious). | |

| Most livebearers can interbreed. Guppies are guppies you know what they say about rabbits the are Nuns compared to guppies. |

| Guppies and platys do not interbreed. I have 9- 20 gal tanks set up at my store and never have I had any of these interbreed...........Yes your male is chasing your tetra because he needs a girlfriend but he will not breed with the tetra. | |

| No guppies and platys/mollies do not bred together, but they will with enders and mosquito fish. Platys ,mollies and swordtails do interbreed though. Sorry as I really didn't explain it on the previous post. Thanks for covering me whisper.( I would have missed it) |

| OK, thank you for the confirmation. Hobbes is just going to have to get over his need to breed. I have 2 platy females with a male swordtail. I dont need more breeding in there, lol. Maybe if I can get my hands on a bigger tank I will change my mind, but until then......... | |
