Hello. I went to a local pet store and they have some chiclids that i am not familiar with. I wanted to ask how much they are worth and what is a good price to pay for them. They looked really cool but i do not want to over pay for these fish.

neolamprologus leleupi (yellow)

tropheus duboisi

neolamprologus cylindricus

lamprologus compressiceps

geophagus jurupari

Leleupi are very nice fish to add to your tank. They are from lake Tang. They are Rock Dwellers so If you have a good amount of rock this is perfect for them. They will get to be about 5-6". I have a breeding colony that just had babies. I will probley sell them for around $6 once they get to the 1-2" mark. At your LFS I would not pay more then $10-$15.

The Trophs you can only put them with there own kind. They are usually pretty pricy at LFS $30-$50.

The Cylindricus is a cool Tang. Mix well with other fish from my experiance and are very pretty. LFS $20-$30 depending on size.

the other 2 im not that familiar with.

lamprologus compressiceps from my earlier dealings range from $7-$10 @ 2"

geophagus jurupari (earth eater) depending on the breed can range from $$6-$15 @ 3"-4"
The Geo's get cool fin trailors after 8- 9 months too. cool fish, if you don't
mind them shifting your sand all the time.
