In my 29 gallon tank all looks well and all levels seem ok.. Ph might be a bit low. A couple of my bloodfins look really bad tonite... eye cloud and fin rot. Ammonia is at ideal level from doin the test.. Any suggestions?

change water, alot.

pop eye is usally from water quality not up to par.

do you have any nitrites or ammo. they need to be at 0 and nitrates at 20 or under

the nitrates were pretty high... jus changed about 5 gallons.. Do live plants help with that?

Straw if there is a chance that your fish has popeye you will want to get it out of the main tank and into a quarintine tank. Popeye is very contagiouse (sp). You have to treat it with Amoxisilline(sp)

I think it was only eyecloud.. I raised the PH some and did some water change... they all seem to be improving

i cant remember what they were.. nitrates are still a lil high but has dropped some. Everything else tested normal. Put an airstone in to get the water circulated more

Do a 60% water change now and 25% every 3 days. How long has this tank been running? Has it cycled? What is your stock in the tank?

can we get actual numbers in the tests? if you, can bring your water toa lfs to compare tests.

normal for me is zero nitrites and zero ammonia. and 20 or under

the tank has been running well amd has been running since late july. Everyone looks well. My bloodfins are the only struggling but they seem to be getting better. Tomorrow Im gonna change some more water just to make sure all is well.
