| yeah it has been suggested that i wait 48 hours. i really think that it depends on the size of the bead. 24 hour has worked for me. | |

i used silicone 2 in my 80 which i have all my fry in now but the only place i put was the bottom seam under the sand, and they have been fine so far. i am still going to change it out before i place my expensive fish in there. | |

| hmm this is interesting. i replaced an entire pain of glass in a 20l once and i used the number 2 and i never had an issue at all and it was a saltwater setup. i ran it like that for like a little over a year before the i stripped it completely apart and redid ALL of the silicone on the tank with some from the lfs |

| I always let mine cure for atleast 48 hours or till it passes the smell test. If you can't smell wet silicone it must be dry But I have always used GE I never II |

| Its not the silicone. He had another problem. I seal tanks all the time using number2. Never a problem. Thats a complete resealing of the entire aquarium. |

| you can use silicone 1 or 2. Like mentioned earlier, you just have to make sure it is 100 percent silicone an make sure that there is NO BIOSEAL in it. It will kill all the bacteria in the tank. Number 1 or 2 doesn't matter though, the bio seal is what makes the difference | |
