Hi everyone I just joined on here tonight. I have had African Chiclids from Lake Malawii now for 3 years. Currently I have some rare Chiclids and some very nice trades already made. I am located in N.W. Pa and there is very few Chiclid Owners even close to me. My love is the Chitande Types and currently I have 3 different species. I would really like to find others into to these guys too.

1 Red Frontosa
2 Red Empress
1 Kandeness
4 Ruby Red/Red Shoulder Hybrids

Breeding groups:
F1 Red Shoulder
Aulonocara Sp. Chitande Type Masinje (Just lost my wild male, But have 48 fry from him growing out)
F1 Ruby Reds

Ordered:
Ethelwynnae Chitande Group
Aulonocara Sp. Chitande Type North Nkhata Bay Yellow Head

Trades:
German Red Group
Lemon Jake Group
Ruby Red Male
Copadichromis Virginals Fire Crest Group
Copadichromis Virginals Gold Blaze Group

That was my first batch from the wild Masinje's. They had two batches of 48 total fry. When the female began her third cycle the male died out of the blue. Research has told me it is common for wilds to breed and suddenly die for no apparent reason. These guys tested me from day one. I had to feed them frozen foods because they would not eat flakes or nothing. Luckly I learned from a great guy I never even thought to get his name. But in all honesty he saved my wilds and gave me enough knowledge to get them to breed. It took 2 1/2 years but I have the fry to prove I did. Plus Atlantis will verify my wild strain of Masinje's. I am very much pure bloodlines, but have an open mind to hybrids too. Although I have very few, I understand it is a growing market. But protecting the bloodlines and keeping them pure is just as important.

Thanks Everyone for the compliments

Perseverance is often the path to the greatest rewards. Even if you are the only one that understand the troubles it took to get fry you can always feel good knowing you accomplished something like that.

Thanks, The Masinje's have not been for sale since 2009. I have talked to 4 people who have tried to breed them and failed. I am working with one person now to help get them to breed. I hope I can do it twice for the species sake. But I will be back with 2 breeding groups soon. Plus I am getting 2 more of the Chitande Types. With all my research I only know of 6 types and I now have 3 of them. So it is a great thing for the Chitande's.

The Virginalis I will be getting in a few months. They are small and that is why I posted as trades made. As soon as I get them in I will post the pics of them. Going to get kinda busy around here with fish coming and going.

Thanks for the warm welcome on here.
