Jesse-

Nice fish....and...I hate to be the bearer of bad news....(dont kill the messenger)

But....those are NOT Taiwan Reefs....they are a hybrid.

Not just bad bars.....they look like a Venustus or Polystigma cross.....

take them back to the breeder for a refund ....or feed them to some Champsochomis.

Keep the strains pure!!

Jesse-

Dont get me wrong...not ragging on you or your fish....they are just the quality of what is out there right now....due to SEVERE in-breeding.

here is what they SHOULD look like:

there are VERY VERY few left in the wild....and are rarely exported anymore...and if you can find them, they are $45-50 each...MINIMUM.

I am an importer/wholesaler/breeder and have been in the biz over 25 years.

5 to 6 straight evenly spaced black full bars on a silver background.

Its sad to see the state of the hobby with so much in-breeding of late.
