Mina is now a single mom taking care of 100fry (2weeks old). The Count was a good dad. The store owner told me he had been sitting in his tank for about 5yrs.and just by looking at him i knew he was old cuz his scales were ragged and he had no coloration on his body at all. but i couldnt resist because of his awesome fins. when he paired up it took a long time for him for his colors to become bright. but once he got his colors he stayed in vivid breeding colors. a few days ago he started acting lethargic and i knew smthing was up; but at least i got 2 good spawns outta him.

Mina's personality has changed considerably, and she is starting to lose color for the 1st time ever. But on the flip side, what is rather cool is the 1st spawn(1inch) is now interacting with the 2nd spawn (1/4inch); the older spawn hovers while the new spawn plays underneath their older siblings! Mina now stays in her cave and doesnt come out as much. good thing i dont have any predators in my tank.

so i went out today looking for pieces of driftwood by the river today and I set The Count's corpse out in the current.
