they are about the size of a millimeter or 2. quarter of a grain of rice maybe? or less

they look like a tubular structure with long little arms out of the top. they popped up about a week ago. and stuck to the glass, just swaying with the current.

FW tank, high light, planted, good perameters but ph is a little high at 7.4.

They are a pain to get rid of. They have stinging tentacles that will catch small fish. brain dead and can't think of the name! Argggg I hate memory problems.

where did they come from? the plants were in there a month or more before they popped up. and nothing else was added except frozen bloodworms when feeding.
maybe with the gourami or shrimp? but even then it was quite a while ago.

They can come from the blood worms. Have you added any new snails? they also hitch hike on snail shells.

no new snails, just the ones that have been breeding in there.

ok, so i better get on finding someplace that has something to treat it tomorrow.

how did you treat yours? flubendazole too?

i will need to find out if my puffs and angels can handle that stuff before i try any of the methods i found. but if it's safe for shrimp, i would imagine it would be safe for small fish, but who knows. inverts are a diff specie.

When I had them they came and died in a week with no treatment. (but I only had a couple in an 84 degree tank)

would hydra die with a 2 or 3 day blackout maybe? but then I would be concerned with the angels and puffers you have in there too. Some of the stuff I read said they may die out in a blackout. ?
