i was thinking a betta would look good in my planted tank but i have neon's,1 corycat,1 oto in there. Would it work out?

Yes it should be OK. I've had male Bettas in tanks loaded with guppies with no problems.

Look for an active fish with good color. If you can wait a month or two - I might have a healthy young male or two looking for new homes. (If yet more females turn male on me)

I have a young, vibrant red male available. Just give him a mirror and he'll leave everyone alone.

well i found a nice red on to put in my tank. doing good at first was attacking some of my plants but calmed down. has not messed with the fish thow

He probably has never seen a plant before. Put a snail in there - it's funny to watch the male bettas freak out when the 'rocks' move.

Congratulations on your new addition! You DID quaranteen him for a week or two prior to adding him to the community tank - right?

Theres a shortage of bettas now. If you can wait a couple of months your selection will be better.

LOL Dr. who, where is there a shortage of Bettas? They are sold all over the place. Right now I have about 75 I'm going to be selling and check out Aquabid. there are so many there the competition is terrible. Believe me there is no shortage. Bettas are very popular now and just about everyone has one or wants one.
