Please Meet My Two Goldfish

This is Chowder. He is my Wal-Mart feeder fish pick up. I am quite proud as he's grown so much since I got him, everytime I look at him I get 'awwstruck' from how much he's grown.




This is Bulldog. I got him from our local mall petstore. I just couldn't pass him over, I loved his color, and couldn't pass over a bulgy eye.




I haven't taken recent pictures, so these are a couple months old, but I found a setting that takes okay pictures in their actual tank, so should probably get some new ones in their actual tank! Hehe.

My dad had four feeder gold fish that he kept in a 20 gal long and they lasted 13 yrs in that tank. We just lost the last one in Dec 2010. Enjoy

Back in NZ, I kept feeder goldfish ... only we didn't call them feeders and they weren't marketed as such! LOL. There were some varieties of trops at my local LFS, but they were way too expensive, as was the equipment to keep them. Fancy goldfish were also pretty expensive and being a single mum on a budget, we bought the cheap ones. I loved them and they certainly fueled the fire for my addiction! I had them for 7 years and had to re-home them when I moved to the US.

Just looked at the LFS today online and they have started importing more tropicals, but OMG @ the prices. Bettas are $18 and the cheapest available are neons at $3 (more than half the price of the next cheapest). Oscars are $32.50. All of that is without GST, so add another 15%. Yikes!!

Love the telescope!!! They are some of my favs!!!
