A few weeks ago I posted about building my own canopy..
I finally re-setup the tank it was going on and moved it onto the stand

I used a mixture of flourite and potting soil (had been soaking in water for month to remove tannins) covered by pool filter sand. I took 25 plants from my other tanks and replanted in this tank.

Since the tank was already up and running before the move, I used about 60% of the water and 40% new water

the finished product.... Setup10

I did find a couple of "design flaws" with my canopy....

I cant open the glass tops to do feedings so I have to feed from the back of the tank where it is open but no big deal

lesson learned for my next build but all and all i'm very happy with the look... my friends that have come by cant believe that i built it myself and that is probably the ultimate compliment!!!!

NOW ON TO THE NEXT PROJECT!!!!! which i will post about in a minute....
