whats the best canister filter???

First topic message reminder :

Just want to get opinions on which canister filter you think is the best?...And mostly is there any brands i should avoid??? Is the rena filstar a good one???

I think you can dial the FX5's flow down enough that you still would have to have moderately strong fish to be able to handle it. but im thinking FX5 all the way. I Have also been weighing the pros and cons of the canister filters, and the FX5 may very well be the one i purchase for my 55 gallon! thanks for all the good info guys!

I was just saying fx5 being a canister filter. Not on a 46G...That would be funny.

The FX5 is about the size of a 46 gal, lol!

Actually, it is the same size as your average Shop-Vac, which is what you'll need to get the water off the floor after you turn on the filter for the first time....

I have a Rema xp3 and a Cascade 1000 both works fine but the xp is more easy to clean
Bad experience from my cousin with a Marinelands or some similar name for a 100 gal now he use Cascades
