| Ive used so much melafix to repair damaged fins im sick of it cause the fish will just keep tearing them when they get aggressive towards each other . They damage them faster then melafix can repair them so kinda pointless | |

| When I used it, I had the fish separated, ...And used a hospital tank. Cheaper to treat 10 gallons.
What fish are fighting?

| I don' think Melafix is the problem. Maybe you should seperate the fish that are being aggresive. Melafix can be a very good med for certain things and certain fish. I know I can't use it on my Bettas because it is very toxic to them but I do use it on other freshwater fish I have. | |

I agree that Melafix isn't the issue, fish shouldn't be regularly tearing fins from being aggro. The stocking dynamic should change.

| Skirted tetras are the most docile fish I have ever had. What size tank and whats your stocking? Something is off with your stock for them to get that beat up..
Personally I use wound ease on beat up fish. |
