I just did a water change never done one before............

It is soooooo cloudy I cannot see the fish at all. I am worried :( I did stir up the sand to clean it up a bit....is this normal? It looks awful and I am scared......

normal... water changes sturs up the sand... give it a few hours... did you syfin the dirt out the sand(dirt - fish poop, etc) if not then adding water sturs it up... should be doing 1/4 - 1/3 water changes weekly. along with cleaning.. in my opinion. filter should take care of it...

post a pic so we can see...

what you wanna do next time is set the bucket (if you can or if possible) hire than the tank! that way you can syphon the new water from the bucket back into the tank! it will slowly but shurly fill the tank up with literally NO MESS at all unless you accidentally spill some water lol

I use my wet/dry to fill the tank after a water change. I let the return pump move the water back to the tank to keep from disturbing the sand and making it cloudy, but i can get to it with no problems.
