Just wanted to clarify that the antibiotics used for fish tanks are the same as the ones used for humans. So, if you are allergic to a human drug you'll be allergic to the aquarium drug, too. Often times it's even the exact same pill, not just the same drug in a different pill, that would be prescribed for a human. Because it's being used off-label it does not require a prescription as long as it's labeled "not for human use" or the equivilant on the box. I've had a few patients in the ER and on the ambulance from allergic reactions. Stay safe and always research the medications you work with before you use them, not only for you fish's safety but also for your own. Also, make sure it's a bacterial infection you are working with before you go to antibiotics. Antibiotic resistance is becoming a serious problem because of overuse of these drugs. If is not a bacteria and antibiotic will do nothing with very very few exceptions. The only example I can think of is metronidazole(brand name of Flagyl for humans) that is also effective for certain protozoan infections.
