All 3 are the same catfish. They can make themselves darker or lighter, depending on their tank set up.

speaking from experiance, keep a good eye on this feather fin, I have lost many of fish to the few I have owned. Mine were good for about 1-2yrs then they went crazy and super territorial. Good luck and so you know they get pretty big, mine got to 8inches. Recomend you keep with larger aggresive fish.

I always read that you should keep them with aggressive fish and that they are good with larger cichlids, I think mine was a softee. He was always getting new scratch marks. My Brichardi and my cichlid community tank treated him like the ugly step child!

I never see him with the fin up, but I think it is the feather fin. Would this fish eat guppies and small danios? I was blaming their disappearance on the Leopard Ctenopoma.

Rats, I really want to add some killifish and rainbows to the tank. Looks like I'll have to clear out all the big guys. Do you think a 9" common pleco will eat the smaller fish as well?

I agree 100% we have one in my lfs and hes and exact match to yours, and he gets his butt kicked by the cichlids as well. I would keep him with large docile cichlids myself
