are thawed out bloodworms still good?

so i messed up and left my bloodworms out on the kitchen counter over night. it was mostly thawed out in the morning and a puddle of blood was on my counter top.

my question is can a refreeze these and still use them? it was a new 1 lbs package i just got and only used 2 times.

I did the same thing with a kilo of mysis shrimp. I think they would be fine, but I would test on some cheaper fish. So far with the mysis shrimp everyone is fine, but I don't know how good it is because of the smell.

ic. i feed them to my longfin bristlenose plecos only. i guess i could use some juvie mbuna as a one time tester lol. or i could just cut my $10 loss and get a new pack.

I have done the same thing and froze them again and had no problems. My rule is if they are still semi cold they should be fine.

only refreeze one time...overnite is kinda stretching it, esp. if the room was over 78deg..

yeah you know my apt is hot lol. i was not staying there at the time and the AC was off as a result. i may not chance it and just get some more. the fish that get it are worth more then $10.

feed them to your neighbors fish or dog... lol
