| white calvus do not look as good on black sand nor do tropheus. they darken up so much to robs them of thier color. | |

| i had my trio in white sandblasting sand and they did not look as good. Black would bring out the yellow... try something like tahitian moon sand or colorquartz s grade. | |

| i am just worried about the color of the fish. the poo with be removed quickly from my over filtration lol. i jsut do not want to end up with black fish. i guess i am going to try black and if i do not like it i will try white lol. | |

| White goes with everything too. Since the fish is darker I was go with light sand so the fish stands out. Dark fish get lost in a dark tank. | |
