| Scientific Name: Thalassoma lunare Common Name: Lunare Wrasse Alt Common Name: Moon Wrasse, Blue Wrasse, Crescent Wrasse, Green Parrot Wrasse, Lyretail Wrasse Group: Labroids (Wrasses) Family: Labridae Distribution: Indo-Pacific, Australian reefs, Fiji Adult Size: 10 inches (25.4cm) Minimum Tank Size: 55 gallons Temperament: Semi aggressive: will eat many invertebrates and smaller NOT REEF SAFE (but it has been done). Diet Information: Very easy to feed. Offer a varied diet of frozen prepared foods, minced fresh table shrimp, and a good flake food. Additional Information: Bold, hardy, colorful and easy to maintain, there's not much the Lunare Wrasse doesn't have going for it! All members of the genus Thalassoma are excellent aquarium fish that can live many years in any well-maintained aquarium. This is an active fish that requires plenty of swimming space and tankmates that aren't too passive. An excellent fish for the community "fish tank", this wrasse should not be kept in reef tanks, but of course it will do great with live rock. Tank Mate Compatibility: Should be kept in an aggressive fish only tank. Breeding Information: Breeding has not been reported in home aquariums. Determining Sex: No known way to determine visually. Primary Area in Tank: All over | |

| my next tank has to be big enough to house this beauty.
I'm slowly but surely selling all my freshwater fish and equipment.
So, there well be the room for a nice 75 saltwater show tank.

- LUCKY!
I'm using the money I make selling things I don't want/need anymore. That way, I don't have to spend a dime on newer things. I've been able to trade some of the things I have for saltwater stuff.

| Right now he is in a 75 gallon tank. Although I'm planning on converting the 75 gallon into a sump for a 125 that I have but I haven't set up yet. His current tank mates are: picasso trigger, foxface and three 3-striped damsels. This is going to be a FOWLR tank. | |

How much was the LFS asking for the lunar wrasse? I just re-read your post. WOW! $125!?!? They are expensive in California.

good buy. Is that a pic of a Zebrasoma Desjardinii sailfin on your label ??? Those suckers are beautiful. I wanted one before I found out it cost 3x more than a regular sailfin tang.

| The one in your pic cost way more than the ones that be in the LFS. Around $50 @ 2" and adults over $150. I have personally never seen one at a store, just online. Tell me this ain't SWEET. This is a sub adult that hasn't fully colored up yet. | |
