What do frontosas eat?

I want to know what frontosas eat in the wild?

Mainly fish diet. the big ones eat the little ones... and if no fish around N L S pellets.. LOL

They eat Cyprichromis...among many other live fish in the wild.



They are opportunistic hunters. They will eat what will fit their mouths.

flake and frozen food, in nature they are twilight ambush hunters that lie and wait for smaller fish so the addition of high protein food, such as fish, meat, shrimp, and beef heart is always beneficial.

Alge, plankton, shellfish, snails and mussels

Will they eat earthworms?

You mean in your tank not in the wild right?
They live 20-35 meters deep on average. I believe there are no earthworms that will survive that deep Congo Frontosa have the deepest habitat.

You can alter their diet once they are in the tank. Although I never fed earth worms...
