| Hey all... I am familiar with how Multis breed and how they use mouthbrooding cichlids... I have my cichlids breeding pretty regularly, now, and almost always have the Multis darting in the middle to spawn, too. I have been stripping the eggs on day 3 and have raised the cichlids with no problems... but, there have been no Multi fry... Any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong, if anything?
Thanks! |

| I would talk to Khrister or Bristelnosedude. I also herd you can use a jar of marbles. **********USAfishbox.com************* **North Texas Chapter Leader** |

| I have heard the jar of marbles being used for petricola but was not sure whether it would work with multi's....if so...good to hear, cause now you can breed multi's in an all male cichlid tank. |

| I have heard/read somewhere that multi's probably do spawn without a host in a more normal fashion, I just don't think it is as readily as petricola's do. |

| I didn't know they could breed without a host. How do they do that?

| The old fashioned way of course. From what I have read they are egg scatterers like petricola. You may be able to breed them with the flower pot and marble method. Do a google search for syno multipuntactus breeding without host and you will find some more info. |

| Thinking of getting a few more multis to increase my group. I would line to attempt breeding them in the future. |
