| That sucks, that you can't have piranhas. I live in MO, and they are a dime a dozen here. You can find them at any LFS. You don't want to be that guy though that goes to jail for owning an illegal fish. I actually just read an article last week about some dips*it up on the east coast that got caught importing 400 snakeheads, and now faces 10 years in prison, for a federal offense. If your looking for something legal that is just like a piranha, then go with Pacus. Pacus are in the same family, can be just as aggressive, and not near as shy as a piranha is, so you actually get to enjoy them. And they look exactly alike.

Pacus are a cousin to the piranha. Should stick with them. Don't know that you would be able to get on USAfishbox from jail.

Haha, I'm sure I wouldn't be able to. Just thought I'd ask, seen a show on national geographic channel thought they would be cool to have.

Strange how they are banned in some states and not others. They sell in the pet stores here in PA.

I'm guessing because of climate, most of the states are up north. It would be hard for them to really thrive up where is colder.
