I have only been keeping fish for about 2.5 years but I am quite addicted to the hobby.
here is one of my 55 gallon tanks, it houses a 10" tiger oscar, two overgrown feeder comets a foot long common pleco and a 5 inch red eared slider turtle. the plants in include pothos, arrow plant, some air plants and a lot of red mangroves. I also have fake plants in the water on the driftwood.
my 29 gallon growout tank... this is the latest video but it has since changed dramatically
my 55 gallon african mbuna tank
my 10 gallon fry growout tank. this has also been modified since the video has been taken.
I also have a african dwarf frog bowl, a betta tank, a baby turtle growout tank and an angelfish tank at work! so yeah, quite addicted.
check out my youtube page for many more fish videos... thats pretty much all of my footage.

m1ste2tea great job on sharing.. I think I see a "How to vid and edit" article for the Box coming from you..... Camera/lighting/editing software, music tag etc. You've a lot to share with someone like me! Have you looked into the Syracuse, NY chapter yet? They have just formed I think! You'll be a great addition to their chapter if you're not already part of it!

thank you all for the greetings and welcomes. It's great to get feedback of such.
For those that were interested, I use a sanyo xacti HD1010 camera for both videos and pictures. It has great optical zoom and digital zoom, and a manual mode which lets me get footage up to 1cm close up. the picture quality is above average and the color is okay... the blue-ish color of my 6700k lightbulbs in my cichlid tank tricks the auto adjustment of the camera, but I can manually adjust for it.
I also use the windows movie maker for some of my longer videos, which makes them more presentable. I have made a lot of such short little movies in college for my classes and that has helped me a bit with selection of type and composition and length.
but honestly I dont ever think about such things when I'm recording... The only thing I think of is...
"what do I want to watch when I am away from my tanks and am watching the videos"
I spend a lot of time and effort on my fish tanks and I love to share my results and get peoples opinions...
I also love helping others out with their questions. despite my relative short lack of time in the hobby, I am relatively knowledgeable with some selected species and feel confident in giving sound advice to others that are getting into the hobby. that being said, part of the reason why I joined the fishbox is to get other people's knowledge of fishkeeping... there is always so much to learn.
