New Guy from Poway, Ca

Hello all,

Just wanted to stop and take a minute to introduce myself, I have been keeping cichlids for about 5 years now and just recently moved to the Southern California area from the South Texas area.
Here is a pic of my 75g tank

Right now I am keeping the following fish.
Labidochromis chisumulae (Adults and fry)

Petrotilapia microgalana Nkhata Bay 'Small Blue' (1 male)
Males of this species are sometimes solid blue, solid yellow, or a bit of both.

Gephyrochromis moorii Msuli (Adults and fry)

Labidochromis Flavigulis

Albino Red Top Zebra
Cynotilapia sp. "mbweca" (still juveniles)
Bristle Nose Pleco

Wow. Nice stock list.

I love the Petrotilapia's I have the chitimba bay and they are a very cool breed of fish.

What did you move for?

Also don't 4get to check out the Southern California Chapter. I think this months meeting is not to far from you.

I have no shipping supplies and have no clue how to. The weather has been in the upper 40's and lower 30's at night so I dont know if shipping would be a good idea but I have no problem with parting with some.

Thanks for all the warm welcome's to the site. I will try and get some pics up in the next couple days. And as of right now I will be at the meeting.

good to hear that you will be at the meeting and remember to go to the so cal chapter topic and reply and let us know what you will b bringing to the silent auction and the pot luck dinner any un wanted aquarium stuff will work for the silent auction aswell as fish,plants,driftwood,rocks etc

I will see what I got to bring, As I have both Fresh and Salt aquarium stuff.

No I did not get out of keeping salt. I have a 90g reef tank that I am in the process of reworking right now. Here is the pic before I started reworking it.


The fish that I have in it right now are a yellow tang, black sailfin blenny, two clowns, three anthias and 1 chromi.

Here are a few pics of some of the coral I have.






Ok I will look through any extra saltwater stuff that I have and see what I can bring to the meeting. If anyone is interested in getting anything from the stores down this way maybe I can help with the transportating and bring it to the meeting.

Very nice! Looks like a very well established tank.
