Hello from Seattle

First topic message reminder :

My husband and i are into fresh water cichlids. But it wont be a shocker when we switch to salt.

We have:
yellow labs
green terrors
oscars
red devils
electric blue jack dempseys
jack dempseys
jaguars
angel fish
cherry shrimp
Frontosas

and im sure im leaving something out .. but you get the point.

We started with a 55 gal tank given to us by a friend. Now ... as you may have guessed by the list we had to expand. We now have about 30 tanks that take up our garage. Talk about a hobby gone mad.

Damn those are amazing!!! Thats the kind of fish that made me switch to africans, that is what i am trying to find and i am having NO LUCK. Do you just by them when there young and take your chance of getting a good one? Bcuz i know it is nearly impossible to sex them as juvies without venting, and stores dont seem to want to do that for me???LOL.

they usually have only Mbuna and no peacocks, which is what you are looking for. You should buy from KMX!

ya i like the mbuna, but i am just really liking the peacocks alot more.

Look at Nelson101's and KMX's stock list. Yes I know you would rather see the fish before you buy it but if you do enough research you will know what you are getting. They both have peacocks your local stores don't so........

I have Pics of all fish. So just ask b4 you buy. I bought them at adult size. Then breed them. I have around 20 of the Lemon jakes and 40 of the Mal. Island.
If you want some good fish just get a few people together in your area and split shipping.( which is cheap anyways $20-$30 to WA) I will guarantee all my fish.

Would you be willing to do the venting on the fish so i know i was getting a male? If not its no biggie i dont mind females just love the colors of males.

I can tell on some of my fish but not all. I am no expert ventor. On the fry there is no way i can tell

Yeah i wouldnt expect you to on the fry. I am going to have to think about it, well save some money so i can get a nice shipment. Hopefully you will still have some when i am ready, i am taking off to vegas next week so maybe after that.
