I am getting ready to setup my first saltwater tank ever. Which is the best for a 55 gallon tank? The guy who I have talked to several times this week recommends the FLuval rated for a 70 gallon tank. Any info would be helpful.

Any fluval or eheim would be fine. I would go as big as the budget allows. My salt water tank is filterless because I use the live rock as a filter. I have a 29g tank with about 60lbs of live rock. Then I just have a pump that circulates the water. 6 months in and so far so good.

Coral is growing and fish are healthy. Good luck, you will love it.

I got a great deal, so I think on a FLUVAL 305. With shipping I am paying $120. Hope it does what everyone says it does.
