Weesbee cameby today and I was showing off all my 19 L66 King Tiger Breeders.
As I lifted one of the caves, out goes a lot of babies L66 King Tigers 690297

I am stoked, I thought they are just there fattening their asses not doing anything.
I got Babies all around the tank.
Pretty cool sight!

Next mission get my and Davids L260 colony to breed!
Kings has bred, The Queens are up cheers

They are the bigger Hypanscistrus compared to L333, L46 etc. They can size up to 5"+ TL and 4.7" SL can easily exceed 5 inches with tails. My males are 4.5"-4.7" in length. Females are a bit smaller. Here is a photo of my breeding set-up, the calvus caves are 5" and see for yourself how big they get.

I bought a bunch yellow king tigers from riverwonders a year ago at 1.5" they have grown 1/2"-3/4" since I got them.

Like any other Hypans they are slow growing pl*cos.

What size tank do you have them in? Do I need to get a 55 for them eventually? I have them in a 30 growing out.

I got my Adult breeders, all 19 of them in a 40G breeder.
I have 3 big sponges and an AC110, for filtration.
A constant temperature of 82 deg.
Nothing special with the water just treated off the tap.

More Discoveries Today!!! Another clutch of L66 King tigers L66 King Tigers 690297 They still have some egg sacs left...But these are a larger clutch than the first one. About 20 or so.

Holey Rock of Texas aka David....

Here's the news you are waiting for...

L260 has spawned and a male is sitting on a very large clutch! They are still orange but already wiggling...I mean large clutch about 20 or so. I was planning to transfer the colony to a larger tank when I happen to see a male fanning lots of eggs L66 King Tigers 690297 $$$

I am stoked!!!

I think there is something in the water...

5 of my Karema and 3 moba females are holding.
Someone must have thrown aphrodisiac in Allen water.
It's spawning season here!!!

Have you set-up a bowl with marbles in it? about 4" of marbles would do...

I was breeding them on pyrex bowl so I can see eggs to collect them.

I tore down my breeding bowl. I was trying to find a pic for Len.
I will keep on looking and send you guys a pic for references.

They are carnivores... and like any carnivore they need high protein diet for conditioning to spawn.
