My albino cories laying eggs on the side of the tank!
My cory saga 265353
This is in my 10gal tank that I was using for my rescued cories to fatten them up. All of them but the 3 albinos had been moved over to my 75gal about a week ago. during the 2 week QT time that I had all 10 in there I had been doing massive water changes 20%-50% and feeding shrimp pellets and frozen bloodworm's. still on the same feeding regiment. They had a decent sized water change 2-3 days ago about 30% 2 helpings of frozen bloodworms yesterday.
I have pictures and 2 videos of it I will put them up later after their done.

How long should I leave them in the tank? Do the males have to fertilize the eggs or is that done prior to laying? I will move them to my 20gal for the time being I guess. I know they will eat the eggs and thats all I know

I think these cories are about 4-5yrs old.

They finished about an hour ago. There has to be about 100-150 eggs! Hopefully most of them make it. I'm not sure if I should move the adults out or not. I keep reading conflicting info on that. They have only eaten the eggs that didnt stick to the walls of the tank so far. I will leave them in over night and see if they eat any. If they do I'll move them if not I'll leave them.... Unless some one can geive me a better game plan.

they will all the eggs if given a chance. from what i have been told... the eggs are fertilzed before getting stuck to the glass. so you should be fine pulling the parents out NOW!

Ok the adults were moved int the 20gal with my other 3 albinos and when I left it looked like they were fixin to lay more and 2 of the ones in the 20gal are fat as well  I'm curios what I will go home to today fish

This morning I got a sponge filter for the 10gal with the eggs and put air stones under them. I also got some baby brine for after they hatch.

Aren't corys kinda hard to get to breed? Mine must be super happy fish! fish fish fish

Um sure I can go with that  This tank was thrown together when I rescued the 10 cories. Tossed some sand in and 2 pieces of marble tile leaned against the glass a not very good filter and an air stone. A chunk of old filter media to get it going and that's all the thought that went into it!

I just added some methylene blue. I have 2 or 3 eggs getting fuzzy so I got some to keep the rest from getting fuzzy.

I still think this is kinda crazy. Ive never had fish lay eggs yet alone tried to raise them. Wish me luck I think I will be needing it!

Ok That's all of the videos as of this moment. I still cant believe their laying more. They seem to have 'set off' the original 3 in the 20gal. Their all laying eggs now.
