| Scientific Name: Tatia Corydoras panda Recommended Aquarium: 10+ Gallons Approx. Adult Size: 2 inches Temperament: Peaceful Ease of Care: Easy Water chemistry: pH 5.8-7.8 (7.0), 2-20 dH (10), 72-82°F (22-28°C) Social behavior: Will school with other cory. A group of at least 5 is recommended. FOOD: Live; aquatic insects, white worms, Tubifex , Brine Shrimp, insect larvae; tablets; flake Suggested companions: Smaller tetras, Discus, Dwarf Cichlids, Livebearers, Gouramis, Barbs, Danios, Killifish Breeding techniques:The females are larger and plumper behind their pectoral fins, and less colorful. Easier to sex when viewed from above. The Panda Catfish has spawned in Java moss and against the glass of the aquarium. In one case, when a group of fish reached maturity, a pair was isolated in a spawning tank. They were fed Tubifex and Daphnia . The water had a hardness of 18 dH. Frequent partial water changes were performed. Cooler (72-75°F) water was used to initiate spawning. The female lays 3 to 5 yellow eggs per spawning. After spawning, parents should be removed. The fry hatch in 4-6 days. Start feeding after 2 days. Maintain good water properties and change small portion of water every day to every other day. The fry grow fast if fed the proper diet of crushed flake, small crustaceans, and micro-food. Breeding potential: 8. The Panda Catfish is a difficult fish to breed. Remarks: Water maintenance is important with this Corydoras . Frequent partial water changes are needed for this catfish to prosper. Difficulty of care: 5. The Panda Cory is hardy, but slightly more sensitive to water conditions than other Corydoras species. | |

yeah did you take that photo? I have seen this photo I'm pretty sure I have seen It on other sites. Here are my little guys. mine just spawned again. I love these guys. They are not hard to spawn if you have soft water. but they hide the eggs too well and if you are not watching them you might never find the eggs. Mine hide them deep in the java fern. They also eat the eggs and have small batches. So this makes it hard to save eggs to raise them. But getting them to spawn is easy.

they Need to be fully mature. The small ones don't spawn well. I have a bronze pair and a panda pair. Lots oc water changes with cool water helps. I keep my Cory tank at 73F.

| They have small batches of around 10 eggs I found 6 eggs but there could have been more. I found my panda eggs in the java moss here are some photos of fry. the black larger fry is the panda. The rest are bronze. The panda fry tend to be a bit larger.
here are the panda eggs | |

i love the lil guys but cant seem to find any round here! plz? haha depending on how many I get right now I have 5 fry and 2 more eggs I know there was a fry with the parents so we will see if he makes it. There might be more in the tank. They are really good at hiding eggs and spawn randomly for a week. I see you are in ca so I might be able to work something out. Here are my 6 day old bronze Cory fry.
