Well I just picked up an ehiem 2217 to run in this 75G....May be a little big for the tank but you can never have to much filitration.....I am gonna use the 2217 for bio-filteration and use the fluval 405 as an emergency....I am gonna fill it with carbon and use it when I need an emergency carbon flush(hopefully never again)

Yeah I have gone through a lot with trying to re-establish this dang tank!!!!

Well i am deploying soon so i am thinking of just making it simple community tank that the wife can take care of and the babies can enjoy while i am gone

Today is the day...I am starting my tank overhaul....It will be a 100% tear down and then the re-establishment begins again.....Hopefully it wont be as much of a headache this time around....Wish me luck!!!!!

On second thought, and after starring at this beast for 15 min, i think the 2260 is a little over kill for the 75.....any thoughts?????

I was thinking the same thing......but have you ever seen the size of this filter???

i have not seen this filter but if you can make it work i would do it. i have a 75 gallon tanl sw with a 800 gallon protein skimmer so i like big filters for tanks thats just me every body has there own opion

Ok...so the tank has been set up again! I am running a fluval 405 on it. I have a few new pic but cannot find the camera to download them as soon as i find it I will upload a few...Current status: waiting on the cycling to finish...I am feeding it everyday as well as adding stress zyme and stability to the water..
