I have a dalmation molly in a isolated 10 gallon tank,shes calm for the most part and eats gud and i put aquarium salt for her and shes been pregnant for a long time, how long does it take for mollys to have babies and what else can help her have them?

She will have them when she has them, it can sometimes take up to 3 days for her to birth them all. Do you have some floating plants in there for the fry to hide in? She will try to eat them if she has the chance.

A couple of years ago I had a molly that was big belly for two - three weeks (can't remember). Finally, when she had the babies, many of them ended up dead as they came out. However, she had around 30 and half of them stayed alive. She died soon after having the fry. Too bad mollies are not like cichlids where you can strip them early.

its lik my swordtails i let them be in my 55 and ive had 3 batches of fry. they get really big until they look like she will explode that wens he pops them out mine stay close to 2 to 3 weeks of being really fat. u can keep her alone if u want fry i only hav one survived out of the 3 batches.
