| I would like some other form of life in with my molly fry so when there are no babies there is at least something in the tank.
My husband wanted African Dwarf Frogs, but they eat fry. Then he said shrimp, they eat fry. Crabs, eat fry. Snails will overrun the tank and I'm not trying to breed them too. lol
Does anyone know anything I can put in there with them that won't decide to snack on my babies?

| I like the cory idea! They are interesting little fish that would bring some character to my fry tank. :) I'm still open to more ideas though if anyone has any. Thanks everyone! You are all awesome! | |

| I have 4 of the ghost shrimp in my tank and my platty fry seem to be surviving. I just counted about 6 that were born Tuesday. I don't have regular gravel though. We didn't know to much about fish when we bought my son a tank in Oct. So we have Mexican river rock which are about 2 inches long so it create a lot of caves for them to hide and survive in. I also had the frogs also but sadly they died one by one not sure why so I haven't replaced them since I feel bad. Hope this helps. | |

| I love the look of the little shrimp and my kids like them a lot too, but we have sand. The babies can't really hide in sand. I think we have decided to get corydoras for the fun personality they will bring to the tank. I'm going to put some live plants in there too.
We are also talking about getting guppies now that our betta has died. :( So there is a good chance we'll have guppy fry in the near future. That will also add a little more life (and color) to the fry tank.
Thanks again for all the help!

| I used to keep corys in my fry tanks too. Never had a problem and definitely adds personality to the tank. | |

| A couple of oto's would work too. I use them in my Betta fry tanks. | |
