RIP - My NEW arowana!!!!!!!!!!!!

For all the arowana experts out there, can you identify this type? It has a hint of red by its tail, green and blue scales.

looks like a regular silver to me. silvers have a bit of color when they're young but become all silver as they grow. btw, try to keep some ornaments for him to look up to in the tank. silver arowanas tend to get this droopy eye problem where their eyes look down 24/7 as they grow older. ur lucky he accepts pellets lol. they can be very picky eaters.

My arowana is doing great! Eating like a cow, trying to eat my finger a couple of times. Ate an ENTIRE algae pellet that is bigger than his mouth.

If you look closely at his stomach, he was actually skinny. I'll post pictures when I get my other 55 set up.

Ya.. pretty much. I plan on building a pond eventually and breeding them.

You could use an in-ground swimming pool. That way there are already parts and filters for them. You would just need a cr@p-ton of water conditioner. You also wouldn't have to build one from scratch!
