any arowana people here

i had to let my arowana go a couple of months ago got him at 3inches and in a little over a year hit the 15inch mark and he was perfect i hate to say i sold him to the lfs and they gave me a $100 for him put on sale for $500 went to visit him every week till he sold and was a real attraction nobody walked by the tank and didnt stop and look and i got the urge again but always keep them by theirself tried to put him in my discus tank when he was small but was to jumpy anyone ever try to keep them with jack dempseys or simuliar fish

you don't want them with any nippers. I have wanted an arowana since I was 6yo, but I don't have a 10' x 8' x 4' covered pond to house one in. Silvers hit 4' easy in captivity and 5-6' in the wild.

I built an approx 200gal wood tank with a glass front. Feathers loved the tank sold entire set up for $500 in 1973. She was by herself in the tank because she ate everything! Feathers was 24" when I sold her.

i like to grow them for people who have really big tanks they are real show stoppers i just always kept alone once with a stingray i know you shouldnt keep fish u cant house for life but i cant help myself i thought maybe my ebjd my gold cross jd a salvini convict and a fire red severum

No they would be way too nippy

Mine likes to smash the dempsy when its feeding time other then that they get along ok and i also have a big lungfish he doesn't bother him either my arowana is 16 inches

my dad had a 2' 5" one..... he broke threw the top glass and died.. byt that was 15 years ago.. still my favortie fresh water fish
