Got to let her learn how to hold for atleast 7 days. She may not hold them 7 days at first but in the long run you will loose more eggs pulling them at 5 days compared to 7.

Is anyone seeing a trend here? I go through multiple forums and everyone is saying that the fish are having trouble being good parents. Is there any fish available that are wild and good parents yet?

my yellow labs did the same thing the first time they spawned ... i think they just have to get used to holding them.

Also my jags and green terrors have been awesome parents. The jags just spawned for their first time :) YAY

I need a female Jack and a bigger tank. A 55 isn't big enough for a male and female jack to breed is it?

yeah it is .. you have a ebjd male right? so to do it right you need a bgjd (blue gene jack dempsy) that way you will get 50% EBJD. To find them you need to find a good breeder or else you will end up with normal dempseys or "dork fish" ..do you have a pictures of your boy?

Check out the pics and see what you think. Is there anyone on this forum who has a female to breed with my male to get some nice EBJD fry? If so, can the inhabitants in the tank stay or will I have to move them?
