HOLDING TROPHS

I HAVE NOTICED A COUPLE OF MY DUBS AND KACHESE HOLD FOR A DAY OR TWO THEN WITH THE BLINK OF AN EYE THEY ARE BACK TO NORMAL..... WOULD ANYONE HAPPEN TO KNOW WHAT THE DEAL IS?

YA BOTH GROUPS HAVE HELD BEFORE.... THE DOMINANTS OF BOTH GROUPS ARE ALWAYS ON THE PROWL TRYING TO START SOMETHING WITH ANYBODY. THEY HAVE PLENTY OF HIDING SPOTS THANKS TO UR HOLEY ROCK :D

hmmm. when did you see them holding. i get tricked sometimes when i watch the tank after feeding and they really have a mouth full of food. sometimes they hold the food forever to keep it from everyone else.

HMMM... THAT MIGHT BE THE PROBLEM. I GOTTA PAY MORE ATTENTION.

i get tricked all the time. other than that i would suggest tumbleing or seperating the females. i am about to have to start doing something as well as i am having the same problem with some of my mbuna.

Tumbling is a good idea... it takes the stress off the female who can return to eating, and you won't have to worry about losing the fry is she decides to not follow through. I just bought a few supplies from david and stripped my fish... I now have over 40 electric blue johanni fry!

David where did you get yours? I have one and it SUCKS!@!!!!! I need a good one that dose not require any work from me. The one i have i always have to check it to make sure nothing is wrong.

I bought mine off of Aquabid. Its a homemade one so whoever did it stinks.

na. he told me how he made his. it is 2 x bulleye from a faom filter, panny hose, and some clear tubing used for undergravel filters.
