| I have 4 NPT (natural planted tanks). Multiple swords, Java (of course), anubias, About 15 types of stem plants, apos, vals and a few I have no clue. I have over 300 plants. I usually buy from other hobbiest that are trimming there tanks. One 10 gal tank has over 20 plants with black bar endler and 2 mystery ivory mystery snails open top with a 100 watt CF screw in bulb in a west window. Never have algae in that tank and the store bought "Sword Plant" is 2 feet above the water and flowers every 3 weeks. IME these tanks are more stable with nitrates and cycle much quicker. I had a diatom breakout in a 20 gal tank that is not a NPT. added 20 Java ferns and flourish and 3 days later no algae in the tank. Plants are great for algae control. |

| I have way too many plants and plant kinds to count! I have my fully planted 75g brichardi tank, my planted 29g community, my 4'x8'x1.5' planted sump that is the only filtration on my 240g moorii tank and that is the most balanced happy system I have! |

| I think the whole system is roughly 550ish-600ish gallons, Its hard to get a real gallon count on the sump.... someone didn't lay the dirt and sand evenly This is what the outer measurements get me for the volume of the sump 358.56 gal |

| Have to many tanks to be bothered with taking care of plants. All my tanks are bare bottom. No gravel or sand. Makes clean up much easier. | |

| If you have or even don't have a substrate, plants are good things to have. I have live plants in all of my tanks. They help keep algae down and make the tanks look GREAT! There are plants of all sizes and needs, so finding a plant to fit your tank shouldn't be hard. I would encourage everyone to at least try it. Fish love them and so can you! | |

| I have two GIANT amazon Swords in my 125 gal. Caesar Loves to just float in them lol. Those two swords literally take up half of the tank, I'll have to take pics.
In my other two 55's I need to get more plants, Kinda slacked off on them lately lol. Between both I have about 15-20 Anubias and a couple of Swords. | |

| Anubias are AWESOME. All you gotta do is attach them to something with some string and they just take off. | |
