| They are egg scatterers. if you put the clear deco marbles in the bottom of a bare bottom tank enough to cover of the bottom then the parents can't get to them and eat them. Then when the pair is done spawning you just take them out and leave the eggs to hatch. | |

| Start with infusoria. you should have had a batch going before hand. Just put a piece of lettuce in a jar of water with the top on and set it in a sunny window for a few days. | |

This doesn't make any sense. she won't drop any eggs without the male.

| Clear is good, opaque is bad. A bed of Java Moss is highly recommended for egg scatterers. The moss is great at holding infusoria and other micro critters that the fry will consume. Not to mention the protection of cover as well. | |

| Do you have any Meth Blue to put in the water to keep the fungus from growing on the eggs? | |

| Meth. Blue increases O2 in water. Acrivflaven is used stop fight fungus. Fungus only grows on dead tissue. | |

| Dr.Who but the fungus will spread to good eggs also. That is why you would use Meth Blue is to kill it and keep it from spreading. I've had fungus spread to viable eggs and also to partially hatched wigglers. | |

| Meth Blue is used when shipping to increase O2 in water. Whisper I'm not saying what you are doing is wrong. Everyone has their way of doing things. Formadahyde would work better for stopping fungus. Fungus grows on dead tissue. Bad eggs. | |

Yes I agree that it grows on the bad eggs but it will also spread on to the good eggs. That is why it is important to get rid of/ or kill it. Most professional breeders will use it. I always used it on eggs when I was breeding Bettas and I now use it with my Angelfish eggs.

| This is what fungus can do to infertile eggs and wigglers if not treated in time. | |

| what about using egg tumblers? mouth brooding cichlid breeders use those. i would venture it would work in principle for egg scatters too. but its a guess, i wouldnt know | |

| It would be pretty hard to collect all the scattered eggs. | |
