I don't know how many of you use Aquabid.com but even if you don't check this out. Somebody PLEASE tell me this is a typo!!! I placed this auction on my watch list a while back and was shocked to see the final price some nut job paid for a single fish. I love fish as much as the rest of you but I still wouldn't do what this person did, even tho I would love to have that perticular fish.

LOL completely bogus. If it were real, we ALL need to kidnap them and force him/her to pay off our gov't deficit, our mortgages, catch up social security and continue it for 4 generations out, and whatever else left to take us shopping :)

If the winning bid is Baht's then each baht is worth .03 cents US. I'm not sure if its really quoted in Baht's.

when you bid you are making a contract with the person selling the fish
it also says Currency is U.S. dollars (US$) unless otherwise noted. and no where listed does it say about any other type of money.
I wish i had that type of money to toss around, i pick up pennies off the ground

yes it's just like ebay, you get in a legal contract where the winning bidder has to pay no matter what.. that's why I don't like the " well I don't know how much do you have, or the auctions"..

I the type to list a price and say firm, or say will neg the price, or will take best REASONABLE offer.

or how about the guessing game. how much do you want for this heater, i don't know 20 bucks. I reply well it's 30 new i will think about it, then next person how much for this heater I don't know, 10 dollar... then the person say I'll give you 5.00 and the person that tells me 20, and tells another person 10, and the person that says you want 10, I'll give you 5 gets it for 5.

and I thought I paid alot for fish. I paid 250 for a pair of breeding discus. snow white x leopard x snake skin, with a 20g long, air pump, sponge filter, and heater.. sold them make my money back.

that is just nuts, I would even pay that for a saltwater feed, not even a big complete reef tank, with fish and corals even if I won the lotto.
