No, really... my goose and her gander are nuts! out
It seems that Gimp and Mrs G, who successfully raised a pair of goslings this year, are feeling the need to make more. Yes, that is correct. She's managed to make herself a nice little nest and plop an egg in it this morning while her husband and 2 offspring stay on look out. All the while we have small groups of wild geese passing over head in preparation for their winter migration. Rolling Eyes
I I know I should probably go grab it while they're off browsing this morning...but I may wait and see what comes of it.
Mrs G, you are one crazy, broody goose!! crazy

they're in love............Some friends of ours had a huge gray goose that was better then any watchdog I ever saw. They let it run loose in there yard and if a car pulled in you didn't dare get out of the car until they came to rescue you. Was the darnedest thing I ever saw. LOL

Haha well I would think that many domesticated animals lost that migration drive. In many Northeastern states the Canadian goose no longer leaves for the winter because they can find enough food to make it. It is strange but it happens more and more. Once you lose that instinct I guess other things follow.. like raising offspring through the winter months haha. Good luck!

Well, as I was coming back from visiting my daughter and grandson yesterday evening, I saw our neighbors GSD dash out of our yard...and Mrs G's egg was gone. It doesn't appear that she laid on it again this morning, so perhapse she found another location that the neighbors dog can't get to...

Crazy nut of a goose!!
