| That is really neat. I went with the family to the Living Museum in Va last month and they have a few setups a lot like this one. Could sit back and watch them all day. | |

| i know i have a cool plan for my next house. i am going to have a fish only aquarium in the wal that connects to a coral aqurium in the floor with glass over the top so you can walk over it which will connect to a fresh water river going tword the front door also with glass over it. that will connect to another fresh water river out side on my porch turning in to a water fall going into a koi pond. the best part is my wife said she is fine with it | |

| That brings back fond memories of Indianapolis Zoo's old aquatic setup. They had something a lot like that when I was much younger, as well as this really fantastic aquarium in general (they even had big sharks!). It's unfortunate that they tore it all down and it's just no where near as cool as it use to be. If only we had the funds and space to make something that big lol.
That's a really neat idea Wildwiley. We originally didn't even consider doing a koi pond even after starting our fish room. But then we picked up a custom 45 tank a few months back from a couple that rescues birds/reptiles/fish, and they had this really cool pond setup that looked like a pretty easy DIY. I think if we can come across a decently used and priced shell, or heck even a free (seen a few in the free section of CL), we might seriously consider setting one up in our backyard. | |
