i would cast my vote for the oscar first and teh red bellied pacu second followed by the other dojo (assuming it is larger than the 2 golden ones). of course my experience on agressive behavior comes from saltwater aquariums and keeping like shaped/sized/colored fish some times not being the best move. i am sure someone will chime in and try to help you in your problem.

Keep an eye on the pacu, My 9" red will make my 11" oscar hide in a corner. They are very powerful fish and if you can't get a 500+ gallon tank you shouldn't keep them. 3'+ And 60lbs is no joke. The fish should not be for sale in stores at all...

Oscars dont like other fish in their territory for sure & the pacu can do damage without trying, so if he trys its not good...

The dojos should not be in that tank at all! They are a cold water fish. They have no scales or defense of any kind. Please keep them in a different tank. All the other inhabitants could kill the dojos quite easily.
They need a cooler (71F) planted tank with plenty of hiding spots. A smooth sand substrate is the best for them as they like to bury themselves in it. with a PH of 6 - 7. Any tankmates should be docile non agressive fish.

yeah loaches are well retarded..... Dragonfish are waaay cooler and wally world even sells them! Other than that loaches can live in the worst conditions with 0 food. (I thought he died 6 months ago in my 20 gallon(no lights) so I stopped putting their food in there, one day I was cleaning it and he was 5" from 3")

Um phil I have to fully disagree with you on all counts! They need decent water and food! There are many different kinds of loaches all with different requirements! Do your research Phil!

Do you know how big the 'dragon fish' get? P.S. they are bichir's

Yeah I did do research on them after I bought them. The thing is, I thought he died because I haven't seen him in such a long time, and the fact that he grew two inches still baffles me without any of his food and only bloodworms. The loach I got was the common one at Wal-Mart and he's still doing good.

Dragon fish are cool! They can get in 18inches in capacity otherwise like 2 feet. Stick them in the same tank with a green puffer, raise the temperature and your good to go!

Me too, but the prices are unbeatable and the return policy is godlike.

Either godlike or retarded, depending on which way you look at it - lol!

Oh - so I'm not completely hijacking this thread.

Do you have a hospital tank you could at least move him into for a little while?
