| Batrachomoeus trispinosus The Fresh Water Lion Fish is a carnivore and aggressive by nature. It is actually a Toad Fish who's unique looks and beauty is what makes it popular in the home aquaria with fresh and brackish fish keepers. It has the same habits as the salt water Lion Fish, only this fish is completely Harmless although non venomous the spines can cause pain, and get caught in a net. Growing from 8-12 inches in length This fish is best housed with larger fish at the introduction and it need many places to hide, and this lion fish will feel right at home in your aquarium. |

| I would say pretty large as he needs many places to hide, and the other fish if any need to be able to get away from its hungry mouth! they will eat anything that fits. |
